“The Exquisite Corpse” - Call For Artist  for a Juried Art Exhibition


The Exquisite Corpse” a collective art project to be considered for the upcoming  
Collage Art Exhibition in the Project Gallery at Arc

Exhibition: July 12th - August 9th


We are turning this Mannequin into an “Exquisite Corpse”! And you are welcome to participate by turning a ‘body part’ into a piece of Art!


Here is how it works: 
  • You may select the body part  of the mannequin you would like to work on. All participating artist will have the opportunity to collaborate on the “Head” 
  • Each body part can be detached and be carried around easily. 
  • Once you choose a body part, you may take it with you to work on at your convenience (house, art studio etc). However, you should return the completed piece at least 5 days prior to the exhibit. 
  • We will notify you if the body part you select is not available. And you can either choose another part or collaborate with one of the other artist. 
  • Any Collaborations should be arranged/agreed between the artist themselves. 
Participation Guidelines and Requirements: 
  • The non-refundable entry fee is $15  - per artist. To cover the cost of the mannequin, promotional materials and professional photography of the final piece.
  • An art entry may be made by a solo Artist or by the collaboration of a group of Artist. 
  • All individual body parts should be completed and ready five days prior to the exhibit. Exhibition day is July 12th 2014.
  • All art media is acceptable (unless otherwise indicated). You may use Painting, fabric, collage , mixed media, clay, etc. Please keep in mind that it is essential that we assemble the mannequin correctly after all the pieces have been completed. Therefore it is important that no pieces are damaged in any way. 
  • All participant Artists will receive credit and acknowledgement of their work. 
  • Please note that all entrants grant the right to use or publish images of the completed work to be promoted for exhibits, future call for entries, promotional materials, websites, installations or other showcase activities which may include textual, audio or visual representations.
  • Each participant artist will receive a professional photograph of the completed piece.
